Just smile..

Today's Friday..SMILE =) Hmm does it always have to be Friday to put a smile on your face? I hope not. But I am sure that your smile will be brighter when it's Friday. Whatever it is, don't ever let anything, any day, any single act ruin your smile. Smile does not only make your face looks nicer but it is also good for your health and good for people surrounding you. Imagine you were walking down the street and see a stranger with a face with no emotion, and you gave him/her a smile. I bet the person would keep the smile on his/her heart (although he/she would feel awkward a bit at the beginning). Here some good benefits about smiling:

Smiling Changes Our Mood
Next time you are feeling down, try putting on a smile. There's a good chance you mood will change for the better. Smiling can trick the body into helping you change your mood.

Smiling Is Contagious

When someone is smiling they lighten up the room, change the moods of others, and make things happier. A smiling person brings happiness with them. Smile lots and you will draw people to you.

Smiling Helps You Stay Positive

Try this test: Smile. Now try to think of something negative without losing the smile. It's hard. When we smile our body is sending the rest of us a message that "Life is Good!" Stay away from depression, stress and worry by smiling.

Smiling Relieves Stress

Stress can really show up in our faces. Smiling helps to prevent us from looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed. When you are stressed, take time to put on a smile. The stress should be reduced and you'll be better able to take action.

Smiling Boosts Your Immune System
Smiling helps the immune system to work better. When you smile, immune function improves possibly because you are more relaxed. Prevent the flu and colds by smiling.

Have a great weekend full of smile everyone =)

Today, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he sees all day. ~Quoted in P.S. I Love You,

Do you judge?

Have you ever wondered why people judge others? Does it bother you when someone judge you without having a clue on why they are judging you? To be honest I don't really like it when someone judge me. I mean, what rights does one person have to enable him/her to judge someone. By judging someone here is the type of judge that people often make just by looking at the person from their physical abilities or appearance. I really agree that if you want to judge or criticize someone you have to be able to be in someone else's shoes.

Here's one quote that show us that we can't criticize or judge people as simple as that. It's a quote from Harper Lee, the author of my favorite book "To Kill a Mockingbird". I can conclude that when we are about to say something about other people, make sure that we've already think hundred of times before we actually say the things and when we do say it, make sure it's something that can lift up other people's spirit, not to let them down.

“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”
— Harper Lee
So, I was browsing along to know what lies behind a person when he/she judge someone.

Here's what I've found, according to one source there are 4 reasons why we judge others:
  1. We are insecure. This is the main reason we judge. When we are insecure and/or unhappy with who we are, we try to put other people down. Though it doesn't usually build us up when we put others down, we do it anyway. We want to feel good by making others feel bad.
  2. We are scared. Often, when we're scared or intimated by other people, we'll put them down. We also may fear those who are different from us and may judge them just because they are unlike us.
  3. We are lonely. When you are lonely, you might use judgments to bond with other people, but these bonds are based on negativity. The bonds you have based on judging others are superficial and are not likely to contain true substance.
  4. We are seeking change. When we want our own lives to be different, we are quick to judge the lives of others.

  • Hurt other people. This might not always happen. If the person never finds out what you said, you're in the clear, right? Not necessarily. Things have a way of coming back and hurting people in unexpected ways. Think about what you say. Would you say that to his/her face? If not, it's probably best left unsaid (and un-thought!).

  • Make you feel worse about you. When you judge others (or, at least, when I do), you feel bad afterward. You don't feel good about yourself. You might get a tiny rush from the judgments, but, ultimately, you feel guilty. You think you're a bad person for casting such harsh judgments on others. You bring yourself down when you bring others down.

  • Perpetuate stereotypes. The more judgments out there in the world, the more stereotypes get formed and people are trying to live up to (or avoid) the ideas of what they are "supposed" to be. Whether stereotypes are based on race, gender, spirituality, ethnicity, appearance, or any other attribute, they are bad news. They force people (including you!) to feel as if there are standards they must meet instead of living a free, happy life. Don't be a part of perpetuating stereotypes with your own judgments.

  • Put negativity into the world. No matter what you way you rationalize your judgments, they are not bringing anything good into the world. They bring others down. They bring you down. They make the world a more unhappy place. Can you imagine if we were all accepting and loving of one another? Can you imagine what the world would be like if we tried to understand other people rather than judging them?

  • Encourage you to judge yourself. If you're judging others, you're probably judging yourself pretty harshly as well. As for me, I know this is the case. For example, I judge what other people wear, and, as a consequence, I'm extremely concerned with what I wear. I spend quite a lot of time on my clothing and appearance and I bet I would do this less if I didn't judge others so harshly.
“Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes.”

Oprah's Hawaii Home

This is Oprah's Hawaii home. Oh My God! So amazing! Oprah bought this beautiful house with a stunning view as a recommendation from her personal trainer, Bob Greene. With the help from Ellie, her Hawaiian decorator the house is now really is wonderful. My fave part of the house is the porch. Can you imagine having a warm coffee or tea with a home-made muffin while watching the sunrise or the sunset? Heavenly...You are one lucky woman Oprah =)(all images from Oprah.com)

Evaluate..

Have you ever wondered whether it is necessary to evaluate your life? Just a few days ago I was in a meeting and suddenly this thought of life's evaluation came across my mind. I wonder if we do evaluate our life that we have gone through and turns out that we don't satisfy with the result, then, what are we going to do? There's no turning back in living your life, is it? What I think that matters the most is not how you have succeed or failed but it's how you're moving forward in your life. What the you have done in the past and what past has done to you, it can only be lessons for you to learn. The most important thing for us to do is to take a step forward and make it a better journey toward a better life. I found this nice article written by Judy Merrill, a Professional Spiritualist about evaluating out life and how we can move toward a more positive direction.

How to evaluate your life and move forward in a positive direction

There are two things involved here: the thought and the action. In thought we often consider that our life is not what we want it to be. Perhaps it is time to consider: we can make it what we want it to be. George Bernard Shaw said, "People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can't find them, they make them."

A farmer has fertile land. The farmer comes along with two seeds. O ne is corn and the other is nightshade. Consider your mind as the land: Do you plant corn or poison? The land will not care the crop of thought put into it, it will bring forth abundance from the seed planted. What a responsibility we have to our own thoughts!

The more we plant positive thought, the more positive will manifest in our lives. The more we plant negative thought, the more negative will manifest. We tend to have been conditioned to negativity throughout our lives. There is always the 'no' warning ringing in our ears. No you can not accomplish that, it is too difficult. No you are not accomplished enough to succeed. No seems to be the first and fore most thought we can muster when our fertile mind wants to produce a crop.

Being mindful of our thoughts is the first step to evaluation. Know Thyself! as Socrates said. In the knowing you will discover so many positive and negative traits and conditions around you as a crop of your total being. That is where self evaluation comes in, and also where self improvement takes a stand. We have the tools of our own consciousness to consider our mind crop as well as make changes to the seeds sown in the mind for nurture and blossom. We can use things like visualization, meditation and affirmation to nurture the seeds we plant. What the mind can see, it can produce results from on body and spirit.

When we envision our lives in a positive manner with spirituality and prosperity, that is the crop we can expect to reap. When life seems to be dishing up negativity in a rapid manner, we can affirm our own good through the visitations of life and reap a more positive crop. Meditation helps us find the peace and calm within when life tends to dish up the negativity of experience. Make sure the seeds are positive, then nurture them with the food of right action. We water the crops with the tears of our experience and fertilize (which is waste in another way) the soil with the many experiences our life offers.

Little Brain Exercise..

Here's a little brain exercise for your brain I found from here. Often I found it very useful to have this kind of fun exercise to trigger my brain to think more and more. It's not one of those hard questions but it's more into the tricky type of question. See how far can you go and see how the questions can really got you=)
Brain Exercise

1. What do you put in a toaster?

> > The answer is bread. If you said "toast", then give up now and go do something else. Try not to hurt yourself. If you said, "bread", go to question 2.

2. Say "silk" five times. Now spell "silk". What do cows drink?

> > Answer: Cows drink water. If you said "milk", please do not attempt the
next question. Your brain is obviously overstressed and may even overheat. It may be that you need to content yourself with reading something more appropriate such as "Children's World". If you said, "water" then proceed to question three.

3. If a red house is made from red bricks and a blue house is made from blue bricks and a pink house is made from pink bricks and a black house is made from black bricks, what is a greenhouse made from?

> > Answer: Greenhouses are made from glass. If you said "green bricks",
what the heck are you still doing here reading these questions????? Dang..... If you said "glass", then go on to question four.

4. Twenty years ago, a plane is flying at 20,000 feet over Germany. If you will recall, Germany at the time was politically divided into West Germany and East Germany. Anyway, during the flight, TWO of the engines fail. The pilot, realizing that the last remaining engine is also failing, decides on a crash landing procedure. Unfortunately the engine fails before he has time and the plane crashes smack in the middle of "no man's land" between East Germany and West Germany. Where would you bury the survivors - East Germany or West Germany or in "no man's land"?

> > Answer: You don't, of course, bury survivors. If you said ANYTHING else, you are a real dunce and you must NEVER try to rescue anyone from a plane crash. Your efforts would not be appreciated. ...... If you said, "Don't bury the survivors" then proceed to the next question.

5. If the hour hand on a clock moves 1/60t
h of a degree every minute then how many degrees will the hour hand move in one hour?

> > Answer: One degree. If you said "360 degrees" or anything other than
"one degree", you are to be congratulated on getting this far, but you are obviously out of your league. Turn your pencil in and exit the room. Everyone else proceed to the final question.

6. Without using a calculator - You are driving a bus from London to Milford Haven in Wales. In London, 17 people get on the bus. In Reading, six people get off the bus and nine people get on. In Swindon, two people get off and four get on. In Cardiff, 11 people get off and 16 people get on. In Swansea, three people get off and five people get on. In Carmathen, six people get off and three get on. You then arrive at Milford Haven. What was the name of the bus driver?

> > Answer: Oh, for heaven sake! It was YOU ! Read the first line again! So, how many did you get right??? BE HONEST!!!

If it's LOVE..

Something about LOVE that I found here. It's something that can be pondered upon. The statements below tell you the difference between love, like, caring and other things. Whether what you is now is love or not, you might want to read below. People often mistake love with other things. See what exactly the feeling you're having now. Is it LOVE?

Are your palms sweaty, is your heart racing and is your voice caught within your chest??
-It isn't love, it's LIKE.

You can't keep your eyes or hands off of them, am I rig
ht??
-It isn't love, it's LUST.

Are you proud, and eager to show them off??
-It isn't love, it's LUCK.

Do you want them because you know they're there??
-It isn't love, it's LONELINESS.

Are you there because it's what everyone wants??
-It isn't love, it's LOYALTY.

Are you there because they kissed you, or held your hand??

-It isn't love, it's LOW CONFIDENCE.

Do you stay for their confessions of love, because you\don't want to
hurt them??
-It isn't love, it's PITY.

Do you belong to them because their sight makes your heart skip a beat??
-It isn't love, it's INFATUATION.

Do you pardon their faults because you care about them??
-It isn't love, it's FRIENDSHIP.

Do you tell them every day they are the only one you think of??

-It isn't love, it's a LIE.

Are you willing to give all of your favorite things for their sake??
-It isn't love, it's CHARITY.

Does your heart ache and break when they're sad??
-Then it's LOVE.

Do you cry for their pain, even when they're strong??

-Then it's LOVE.

Do their eyes see your true heart, and touch your soul so deeply it
hurts??
-Then it's LOVE.

Do you stay because a blinding, incomprehensible mix of pain and
relation pulls you close and holds you there??
-Then it's LOVE.

Do you accept their faults because they're a part of who they are??
-Then it's LOVE.

Are you attracted to others, but stay with them faithfully without
regret??
-Then it's LOVE.

Would you give them your heart, your life, your death??

-Then it's LOVE.
Now, if love is painful, and tortures us so, why do we love? Why is it all we search for in life? This pain, this agony? Why is it all we long for? This torture, this powerful death of self? Why? The answer is so simple cause it's...LOVE. It is such an addictive thing that even people who are not having it wish to experience it and share it with others as well.

A Simple Friend And A Real Friend

Found this on Amazing Posts. It's about the meaning of a simple friend and a real friend. How many friends do you have? I know many people but those who I can call a friend is not many. I am a type of person who prefer to have small group of close friends than being in those big groups with lots of people who I barely know. How about you?

A Simple Friend And A Real Friend

A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest.
A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps herself and doesn’t even feel the least bit weird shutting your ‘Pepsi drawer’ with her foot!

A simple friend has never seen you cry.
A real friend’s shoulder is soggy from your tears.

A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party.
A real friend comes early to help you cook and stays late to help you clean.

A simple friend hates it when you call after they’ve gone to bed.

A real friend asks you why you took so long to call.

A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems.
A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.

A simple friend wonders about your romantic history.
A real friend could blackmail you with it!

A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.
A real friend calls you after you had a fight.

A simple friend expects you to always be there for them.

A real friend expects to always be there for you!

Wall of Frames..

I love seeing one side of wall full of frames, many kinds of it...small, big, round, rectangular, old, new, rusty..any kinds. The more the merrier. You can have it on your living room wall, bedroom wall or any place you like. But the place I love the most is the wall on your stair. Often, we can't really use the space on the stairway, therefore the wall could be the main spot to decor the stair area. Here are some of the images that might give you an idea to make a wall of frames at your place =) You can actually make a stunning decor by covering the entire wall with unique frames. Rules for Being Human

Rules...I don't know whether to hate rules or to love rules. But this one is a different set of rules. Not those rules about things you have to do or you can't do, these are rules about life. Dr. Cherie Carter-Scott made this set of rules. She is an author of several bestselling self-help and life-coaching publications. You don't have to obey these rules. Don't take it too seriously but read it with your heart. You'll find that these simple rules of life might be good to guide you as a good human being.

Ten Rules for Being Human

(by Cherie Carter-Scott)

1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it’s yours to keep for the entire period.

2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, “life.”

3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately “work.”

4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.

5. Learning lessons does not end. There’s no part of life that doesn’t contain its lessons. If you’re alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.

6. “There” is no better a place than “here.” When your “there” has become a “here”, you will simply obtain another “there” that will again look better than “here.”

7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.

8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to life’s questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

10. You will forget all this.
