Don't you just love food festival? There's one in Sydney, Australia which will be held on October 2009. It's called Sydney International Food Festival. The web is so cute in a way that it shows many flags of different countries made of food. Not just any foods but food that represent each of the country's unique or traditional food. If you see the pictures below, you can see Japan's sushi flag, Italy's tomato pasta flag, France's cheese and grape flag and others. Here are some of the food flags.

Perfect spot..

Where is the perfect spot at your house for you to spend your morning and evening time? I bet it is in the terrace. I always feel different when I'm in the terrace. It's like you're out of the main house but somehow you can still feel the warmth of the house. You can feel the air and the sunshine or the afternoon breeze but yet you can still smell the familiar smell of your house. When you need a 'me-time' or when you want to have a great conversation with the loved one, when you want to enjoy a good book with a cup of coffee or tea, terrace surely is the perfect spot. And here I found some very nice terrace for many purposes.

Your personality..

A friend of mine gave me a link of a test. It's a personality test called What's your personality type? There are 20 questions on the test and here's what the result reveals about my personality. Click here to find out about your type.

Summary of Realists

  • Loyal and steady workers who meet deadlines
  • Believe in established rules and respect facts
  • Think of themselves as mature, stable and conscientious
  • May appear too logical or tough-minded and forget their impact on other people

The four aspects that make up this personality type are:

More about Realists

Realists are loyal to the people around them and work hard to keep their promises. They are honest and straightforward with others and expect the same in return. Realists believe in standard procedures and will only support change when there is a demonstrable benefit.

Realists respect factual information, which they store up to use when making decisions. This group likes to have time to think quietly and carefully before taking action.

These extremely productive people like to be occupied in their leisure time with pursuits such as craftwork, hiking or reading.

In situations where they can't use their talents or are unappreciated, Realists may become obsessed with schedules, critical of others or have trouble trusting other people to get the job done properly. Under extreme stress, Realists may complain loudly that events have taken a turn for the worse and predict negative outcomes.

Realists typically only share their opinions or personal experiences with trusted friends.

Creative Bookcases

Bookcase..one of my things that can make me happy is seeing a really good bookcase. The reason is because I love books so much that I almost fill up the wall in my room with bookcases. The bookcases below are very unique and creatively made. The one I like the most is the Yin and Yang bookcase. What about you?

What money can't buy

Do you know the song from The Beatles, Can't Buy Me Love? I really agree on the song title. Love is not for sale. People can't buy LOVE. Love is priceless. Money can't buy love of other people. Therefore, I can surely say that not all rich people are happy. I know that some rich people are not happy but they have lots of money they can buy the whole world but of course they can't buy love. I believe that we always have to be grateful when we have love around us, to love and to be love is priceless. So, what are the other things that money can't buy? How about the points below? Check it out..

  • People Who Make You Smile Just by Thinking of Them – Wherever I am, no matter what I’m doing, just thinking of her makes me smile.
  • The Warm Touch of Your Beloved – It’s the touch no one else has.
  • When You Realize People Are Reading What You Write – Words can’t explain it. Thank you.
  • A Good, Genuine Conversation – Those moments of verbal bonding when the topic of conversation flows seamlessly and all parties involved gain as much as they put in.
  • An Unexpected Compliment – It seems like just another dreary Monday afternoon, but then she walks into your office and says, “I love your shirt. That color looks great on you.”
  • Cuddling a Newborn Baby – Precious… simply precious.
  • When You Know You Can Trust Someone – You can see it in their eyes and you can feel it in your heart. They have no ulterior motive.
  • Sitting Around a Bonfire with Your Friends – One of the greatest settings for reminiscing and storytelling with those your care about.
  • Seeing Two Elderly Folks Who are Madly in Love – It’s a sight of love that has surpassed the tests of time.
  • The Peaceful Sound of Absolute Silence – Shhhhh…

Self worth

To value yourself, you must start within. This means that the value comes from you. If you value yourself low, people will do so too. But if you value yourself high, others will have high value on yourself too. I think how high or low people value themselves depend on their confidence level. Most people who have high confidence level believe that they are worth as high as people can be while on the other hand people with low esteem will view themselves as those who worth nothing. Which one are you? I'm sure that every one of us wants people to have high value of ourselves. Don't you think so? For those of you who somehow have low esteem and confidence, here are several ways that can boost up you self worth. I think in order to stand out in the crowd, you have to be able to stand up straight and keep your chin up..

Ways to increase your feeling of self worth
  1. Write down 7 minor goals for the week and tick one off each day as you achieve it.
  2. Read a book a month. Reading a book is actually an achievement in this technology and media driven world and reading a full book is a great way to achieve a sense of accomplishment.
  3. At the end of each day before falling asleep write down something you feel proud about, either on the day or in the past.
  4. Tell someone else how much you appreciate them, being able to be open and honest is great for self worth.
  5. Say no! Learn the skill of saying no without offending the person asking.
  6. Everything you do, do to the best of your ability even if it cleaning the toilets or something equally as mundane, develop a reputation as someone who takes pride in their work.
  7. Walk tall and proud. walk as if you’ve got somewhere to go and you need to be there now, never run just walk tall and quickly.
  8. Dress as smart as you can for each occasion, whether it be work, meeting a friend, or going for an interview. Take pride in your appearance.
  9. Do something for yourself every day.
  10. Learn a new skill or take up something you’ve always wanted to and stick with it.
