Attached to Someone

Read the words below and tell me exactly what you think. When I was reading it I automatically feel like it's directed to me and my life. It's like reading my own handwriting that I wrote on my journal about what it feels like being attached to someone. But this someone here is the one who's very special that makes you feel so special to regarding the relationship you have with that one particular special person.

It's a wonderful feeling when you finally be able to love someone both for his strength and his weaknesses. You always see that person as the one who can guide you but at the same time also as the one who need you to guide him. It's like having to find a pair of your favorite socks that you've been missing it since quite a while ago. When you finally find that missing piece, it feels like your life seems to be brighter, so bright that the relationship you have able to shine other relationships too...

Love Formula..

I love quotes... every kinds of it..funny, deep, classic...anything. We often find quotes about love which can be so cheesy or maybe so hopelessly romantic. This one is quite different. The one who made the quotes is Craig Damrauer. I stumbled upon his quotes/illustrations via 20x200. The creator happens to create the new set of rules called "The New Math of Relationships". So, if LOVE is a MATH...here are the formulas.

Desk..

How does your desk look like? Is it a mess, empty or free from clutter? My office desk is quite big with computer and printer and also some paper works. I put no pictures or photo on my desk. Just a calendar to put notes and reminders. But the desk I have on my room is different. I have laptop on it, candles, table lamp, and 2 photo frames. I try to separate family life and work life. That's why I try to keep my office desk as simple as possible. So, how about those desks of famous people? We all know that those who really work hard often have their innovative thoughts come up on their desks. Don't you think so? Here are some of the famous people's desks I found from Vanity Fair. Each has its owner's personality...

Us and The World...

Have you ever thought what is the relationship between ourselves and the world? The world is not only a place that we're living but it could be more than that. Somehow, I think we all have connection with the world...as human beings. I found a paragraph from the article (source: dailyom) below that made me think about us the the world. What can we offer to the world as human beings.

The World And In Ourselves

As always, we start with ourselves, utilizing our awareness of the failings of others to renew our own commitment to be more conscious human beings. We are all capable of the best and the worst that humanity has to offer, and remembering this keeps us in check, as well as allowing us to find compassion for others. We may find ourselves feeling compelled to serve people who are suffering injustices at the hands of other people, or we may begin to speak out when we see something that we don’t think is right. Whatever the case, the only thing we can do is pledge to serve the best, rather than the worst, of what humanity has to offer, both in the world, and in ourselves.

Charlie St Cloud

Last night I watched a DVD..it was Charlie St Cloud. I bought the DVD about a month ago and just yesterday I had a chance to finally watched it. I didn't have any expectation when I decided to watch this movie. I thought it was just only another teen drama movie about a guy falling in love with a girl and so on. Why do I think that way? Because the main actor in the movie was Zac Efron ... a real teen idol! But I was wrong!!! The movie was not like what I thought it would be. Well, it is a romantic drama movie. It has far better story. I cried several times watching some of the scenes and I couldn't believe that Zac Efron has been able to make me cry. He played Charlie St Cloud so well in the movie.

The story of the movie was based on Ben Sherwood's best-selling novel with the title of The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. Here's the summary of the movie:
  • Charlie St. Cloud is a young man overcome by grief at the death of his younger brother. So much so that he takes a job as caretaker of the cemetery in which his brother is buried. Charlie has a special lasting bond with his brother though, as he can see him. Charlie meets up with his brother (Sam) each night to play catch and talk. Then, a girl comes into Charlie's life and he must choose between keeping a promise he made to Sam, or going after the girl he loves(imdb.com)
What I love the most about this movie is the bond and relationship between Charlie and his brother, Sam. Here's the quote from the movie:

Charlie St. Cloud: We'll always be Brothers...
Sam St. Cloud: Promise, through rain or shine, hell or high water?
Charlie St. Cloud: I PROMISE!

The other thing I love about this movie is to show us that if you've given a second chance in this life, there must always be a purpose behind it. Even better, there's a really great poem by EE Cummings on the movie:

Dive For Dreams

dive for dreams
or a slogan may topple you
(trees are their roots
and wind is wind)

trust your heart
if the seas catch fire
(and live by love
though the stars walk backward)

honour the past
but welcome the future
(and dance your death
away at this wedding)

never mind a world
with its villains or heroes
(for god likes girls
and tomorrow and the earth)
-E.E. Cummings-

So, if you haven't watched it, well..you should watch this movie soon.
