Love Does Not Cost A Thing

Below is such a nice piece to read, written by Carla Jo Masterson, a published author of children's books. After reading it, it makes me realize more about the importance of loving, caring, kindness and showing feelings to other people. It doesn't cost a thing but somehow it can be the hardest thing to show how we feel to other people...

"Love does not cost anything. Kind words and deeds do not cost anything. The real beauty of the world is equal for everyone to see. It was given by God equally to all, without restrictions.

Everyone, was given a beautiful vehicle in which to express love to others. Feelings are free to express and give to ourselves and each other through our willingness to give and care.

What is complicated about this... Why have we made others feel they have to climb mountains and swim oceans in order to make a difference.

All we need to understand my friends, is that human life was given equally to us all, not partially but in totality.

The sun was given to all. It does not shine on the few. So, just has nature is indifferent to our station or situation, we need to know that we are all equal. We need to focus on the things that are constant and not place our values on things that can be blown away with the next, great, wind.

Value life in what ever house it dwells. For when it comes time that we are all stripped to bare bones before the divine and facing eternity, we will understand that the only law we were meant to follow, was to love ourselves and each other. Nothing more...nothing less."

You dropped food on the floor...

The image below is so funny. I found it on blogs.sfweekly. It's funny how we all tend to think long before we do something really simple. The situation below is this:

"You dropped food on the floor. Do you eat it?"

Turns out that before we do something really simple, we had a long process of thinking in our head. You might want to look at the chart below. have a good Monday everyone =)

Floating Bed...

Would you love to be in bed for the weekend? I would really love too, considering it's been a tough and hectic week for me. Look at the Floating Bed below! Amazing!! You can put it inside or outside your house. My perfect idea would be more for the outdoor floating bed. I can just sleep there and feel the breeze and hear the birds singing.

Confidence, Trust & Hope

I have a short story below. It's about confidence, trust and hope. Those three words are small but very powerful and meaningful. Those three small words can be guidance for you to live this life. In life, we all must have confidence, we always have to trust ourselves and other people and last but the most important is not to lose hope.

Confidence, Trust & Hope

Once, all village people decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer all people gathered and only one boy came with an Umbrella;

that's Confidence

***

Trust should be like the feeling of a one year old baby when you throw him in the air, he laughs......because he knows you will catch him;

that's Trust

***

Every night we go to bed, we have no assurance to get up alive in the next morning but still you have plans for the coming day;

that's Hope

Think Good

Think good..think positive. That's what I always had in mind and that's what I often people how to think. Not in a way of telling them what to do but in a way of suggesting other people that by thinking good, the good things will come along. Even if something bad happened to us, doesn't mean that we're having something bad. I believe that there are reasons when something is happening to us. We can say that the bad things happen to us were only the cover of something good that will eventually come along. Here are 3 tips on how to think GOOD (via)

  1. When you are thinking of a bad song or a bad thought that you can't get out of your head don't try to get rid of it, otherwise it will come straight back at you. It's like physics - every action has a reaction. If you hit a wall, it applies the same amount of force back. Thats why your hand hurts. Try not to throw away the thought, just regard it as any other minor thought, however horrific, and don't feel guilty about this. Naturally your thoughts will move on.
  2. It's only when you regard it as a big thing that you will dwell on it. Furthermore, think like this. If you did carry on thinking about it, you would simply justify yourself and the position you were in. However, this just spends more energy on it which isn't a good thing. Remember, it's already happened, thinking about a bad thing will only prolong your bad mood.
  3. If you're apprehensive about something, think as if it's already happened and gone amazingly. This way you're setting your self in good stead for it. Thinking this way also relieves the pressure.

It's Monday but it's OK

Monday...Monday...Monday. How are you all doing this Monday? Hope you all have a great start of Monday to make the rest of the day be good. To be honest, I couldn't sleep well last night. I kept thinking all the things I have to do on Monday, which is today. I made a checklist on my mind and try to make a timing for every single thing I have to do today. But gladly, I managed to get some good sleep. So, here I am typing this post ... having done all the things I had to do. Having all things checked on my checked list I've made last night. It's not even mid day but I have managed to do most of the things I must do today. Sometimes, we all worried a bit too much about certain things but when we're actually doing those things we worried about, those things can turn out be easy. Don't you think so? So..just like the image above..you must all say "It's MONDAY..but it's OK" =) Here's a good tip for you from wikihow. about how not to worry too much. Have a good day.

Live in the moment, most of the time.
Worrying is something we do when we think about bad things that might happen in the future. So the less you think about the future, the less you'll worry. Immediately stop the thought as soon as you recognize that you are worrying. The more you worry, the more worried you'll feel. Take out time for yourself. Take a shower and fix yourself up for the next day of school or work. You'll feel better about yourself and you'll stop worrying. Still, it's impractical to not think about the future at all, if you have any sort of responsibilities. The next few steps will address that.

What to do next..

I came across this quote from the oh-so-fabolous chick-lit author Sophie Kinsella. This one the quote was from one of her books "The Undomestic Goddess". It's about goal in life. Do you have any goals? Or in this life, you need no life's goal...you just need to go where life takes you. Which one do you prefer? I am in the middle of both arguments here. Sometimes, it's good to have goals in life so you know where you are now and how far you are to reach your goals. On the other hand it feels so free when you have nothing to be worried about in this life, such as to accomplish your goals. I think I am going to say that I am a mixture of both concepts. I have goals in life but at the same time I am not going to feel blue but I'm gonna say this to myself: "maybe life has other plans for me" so I can change the directions of the goals =) So, here's the quote:

"sometimes you don't need a goal in life,
you don't need to know the big picture.
you just need to know what you're going to do next!"

Be Healthy..

We often realize that there is nothing better than being healthy. I wasn't feeling really well yesterday, that's when I realize that it's good to be healthy. I hate being sick and not be able to do things normally. Have you ever felt that way too? I'm totally agree on the statement that said "We are what we eat". That's really true. If you love your body, you'll know exactly what's good for your body and what's bad for your body. Healthy eating is one of the most important thing to take a good care of your body. But most people think in the wrong way saying that they can't enjoy those delicious food by eating healthy, I guess it's not completely true. You can eat healthy and at the same time enjoy and eat all the food you like the most. All we need to do is knowing the right portion. Here's 10 fun facts of healthy eating from ehow. When you know the facts, you'll realize that it's all for your own benefit =)

Veggies and Fruits

  • 1. Eat at least nine servings of vegetables a day, which is about 4-1/2 cups. In particular, dietitians recommend dark leafy greens as well as veggies that are a rich red, yellow or orange.

    2. Keep fruit out where you can see it, such as in a bowl or basket on your kitchen counter. You'll be more likely to grab a banana or orange for a snack.

    3. Not all serving sizes of fruit and veggies are equal. For example, to get the equivalent of 1 cup's worth of veggies when eating leafy greens, you actually need 2 cups' worth. Also, 1/2 cup of dried fruit is equal to one cup of fresh fruit.

Meat, Fish, Poultry and Eggs

  • 4. Meat, fish, poultry and eggs all contain protein and iron, which are both needed for building strong muscles. Strong muscles are a must no matter what your age. In fact, if you stand up and take just one step, you will use 54 muscles. However, if you prefer a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle, you can also get protein through peanut butter, dried beans, peas and nuts.

    5. The iron found in meat helps carry oxygen to muscles, prevents infections and fights off anemia, which decreases energy.

Dairy

  • 6. Tweens and teens need 1,300mg of calcium daily and they can get 900mg of that by drinking 3 cups of low-fat or fat-free milk.

    7. Besides building strong bones throughout your body, the calcium in dairy products, such as milk, cheese, and yogurt, also keep your teeth, gums, and jawbones healthy and strong.

    8. Even those who are lactose intolerant (people who have difficulty digesting dairy products) can sometimes comfortably digest a cup of milk if they drink it along with a regular meal.

Whole Grains

  • 9. The fiber found in whole grains can protect against heart disease and lower cholesterol levels. Fiber also helps fill you up, which can help you maintain or lose weight.

    10. Whole grains (as opposed to the refined or enriched grains found in foods like white bread) also provide minerals such as magnesium and selenium. Magnesium builds up bone strength and helps release energy out of your muscles. Selenium helps you develop a healthy immune system

Unique Hotel - Unique Cars

I am a huge fan of old and antique car. If I could choose, I'd rather own an antique old car than a modern car. I will drive the car and show it off to everyone haha and I will sleep on it too. Well, that's just my dream for now. Maybe I can fulfill my dream of sleeping on an antique car if I can visit this hotel. There a hotel in Stuttgart, Germany called V8 Hotel. The hotel has 10 theme based rooms. Below are some of the rooms. Aren't those amazing hotel rooms? Check the images below.

This Life..

Seeing this room makes me want to go back to weekend or go forward to weekend. My weekend was so busy, even busier than my weekdays. I feel a bit tired now but at the same time feel good to knowing that more things were done for my wedding preparation. But last weekend I managed to go to the cinema hahahha it's been almost 2 months since the last time I went to see a movie. Last weekend I watched "Source Code", a movie played by Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan and Vera Farmiga. It was a unique movie..which I like.

And the most memorable scene on the movie was when Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan kissing while the other people surrounding them were having a really good laugh. That was the perfect scene! Maybe you should watch it to know what I'm saying about. The point taken seeing the movie is that we all want a perfect ending of this life..if we all can choose how we want to end it. The scene almost made me cry in a way that seeing strangers laugh together and seeing people we don't know get together to have fun together is just perfect. Feels like nothing can beat the happy moment =)

Hot Hot Cocoa

Have have your weekdays gone? Hectic or just a plain common weekdays? Mine was filled by busy days. The best thing about being in a hectic and busy day is at the end of the day, you will be able to relax and you will feel more relax comparing to the other common day because that's when you realize that taking a good rest really matters when you're having a rough day. And you know what makes it better? A cup of hot cocoa before you go to bed. I found this one recipe called Hot Hot Cocoa Mix by Knuckle Salad. Small things..

Have you said "Thank You" today? Saying thank you is not only for those who have helped you but you can almost say thank you to anything not just a particular person. Have you said thank you to God and this life today? Even the small things we often forget can bring us great accomplishment. We tend to forget about those simple things that make this life worth to life =) So, pay attention to those small and simple things. Those things are the main ingredients of this big life we're living. And the secret recipe is always to say thank you and just be grateful...Have a great Wednesday everyone. Attitude Diet...

Rise and Shine. Monday is here. How's weekend everyone? Hope it was great. SO, this Monday I'm gonna open up a new week by starting a diet plan. Really? A diet plan? But don't worry, this diet doesn't include any food or beverage. It's all about your soul diet, precisely, it's about a Positive Attitude Diet =) Sounds great, doesn't it? The diet plan was made by Dr. Allan Zimemerman which I found via about.com. Follow this "4-Day Attitude Diet" to gain success...

Positive Attitude Diet Day 1: Fill your mind with positives.

Instead of living your life on autopilot, letting any and all thoughts come into your mind, consciously feed your mind positive input. Do this on the first day of every week, and do it throughout the day. Read inspirational books; listen to uplifting music, or call an upbeat person. And by all means, avoid the cynics and gripers.

Positive Attitude Diet Day 2: Affirm yourself.

To build a positive attitude you must remind yourself of past victories. Congratulate yourself on the good you have done and will do. And refuse to let any self-doubt enter your mind. Just tell yourself over and over, "I am filled with confidence, and I am competent."

Positive Attitude Diet Day 3: Think only good things about people.

Don't allow ill thoughts to enter your mind. Look for something you like in everyone you meet. One person might have a great smile, and another one might be extremely dedicated to his work. You can always find something you like.

Positive Attitude Diet Day 4: Speak only positive words.

In order to build and maintain a positive attitude, you must speak hopefully about everything -- your job, your customers, your manager, your employees, your children, your health, and your future. Go out of your way to talk optimistically about everything.
