The Razor Residence

I am not a big fan of modern architecture or minimalist one. I prefer seeing a traditional architecture or interior rather than seeing the modern one. It seems to me that the modern architecture and interior are not warm enough and don't have a homey feeling. But his one is an exception. I don't know why this design has caught my eyes. It is called The Razor Residence designed by Wallace E. Cunningham which I found via homedsgn.com. The house has four bedroom and six bathroom. What do you think? Marvelous, isn't it?

Believe...

I just found a piece of an amazing writing by Charles Bukowski, an American poet, novelist and short story writer. This kind of writing enables us to give new thought about something or even give a deeper thought if we had already think about this before. It's about what you believe in God...

"For those who believe in God, most of the big questions are answered. But for those of us who can't readily accept the God formula, the big answers don't remain stone-written. We adjust to new conditions and discoveries. We are pliable. Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us."

Present Moment..

May is here. We're almost entering the second half of 2011. God, time really flies. It'll be a month and 2 days until my wedding day =) I have to prepare myself mentally and also physically. How's your weekend everyone? Did you have an usual or an unusual weekend? As usual, every weekend we tend to do those things we couldn't do on our working days. And as usual I always had new thought popped out on my mind seeing many things during the weekend. This time I had this thought about the present moment. We all know that we can't turn back time, I believe there's no such thing as time machine, the only time machine that we have is our mind and our memory. Those two are the only things that could bring us back to the past. So, I was thinking about how important the present moment is. It's not about what you're doing at that very present moment but it's the way you cherish the moment knowing that that present moment only happen once and there's no turning back..surely there's no "rewind button". Just like the quote below:

Things You Can't Recover

The stone…….after the throw.
The word………after it’s said.
The occasion……..after it’s missed.
The time………after it’s gone.
The opportunity…..after it passed.
The love….after it’s gone.

Love for the weekend...

This week has been a really busy week for me. Lots of things have to be done and I can feel my head is always buzzing and thinking a lot of things. I drop by here to send you some lovely pictures by Chris Craymer, that remind me about the person that I love. I remembered I once posted the image but I feel like posting those images again. The reason is because everytime I see the images of Chris Craymer's Romance, I always feel loved and those images really do make me smile. Hope you have a great weekend and of course, be with the one you love...xoxo

Virtue...

Life is always about give and take, it's all about balancing your actions in life. This means that you can't always get get get what you want without giving something to other people too. Virtue...that is one small word with a big meaning. I define virtue as something good and something morally right that you have within yourself. I guess that's the best definition that I can give about the word "virtue". So, I was thinking what is the relationship between life's balance and virtue? I think those two terms really connect to one another in a way that your virtue somehow gives you insight and thoughts about how to make your life in balance. Found this really good article about what it takes to be a person of good virtue on Self-Esteem-Enhances-Life.

Virtues – Be Admired – Live A Good Life

To be a person of good virtue does mean living a good life. Giving as well as taking. Sharing as well as using. Looking out for others as well as looking after themselves. Trying to act for the common good rather than just for selfish reasons. That all sounds a bit nebulous to me

And so it may. Yet, is it not our right to live a good and wholesome life. A life where

  • we help others as well as supporting ourselves
  • we participate as well as take part
  • we share as well as act
  • we contribute as well as belong\

Fate..

Ooops...I was so busy yesterday that I didn't manage to put anything on my blog. First day of a new week has always been the busiest day for most of us, don't you think so? So, as usual...I'm going to ask you about your weekend. How did it go? Did you all have a long weekend? I did, it was fun. I managed to do a pre-wedding photo shoots with my boyfriend, but too bad I can't share those photos here..yet! Still a secret but I'm sure going to post it later on after my wedding day =)

This is out of the topic, but have you ever thought about fate coming into your life? I often discussed about fate topic here on my blog. You can read my post "Our Own Fate" - HERE and you can also read my other post "Fate and Destiny" - HERE. But you might wonder why I often bring this topic again and again. That is because I do believe in fate that we're making and also the fate that we're destined to have. What do you think about fate? Is it a choice or is it a chance? I do believe that fate is a combination of both, in a way that we are directed to our own fate but at the same time on our way to pick up or fate, we can also make the ride worth while. God has written a unique story for each one of us and there are things we're destined to be. But there's one quote about what you have to do in order to meet that fate that you are meant to have. It's a quote from Nocholas Sparks that said:

"I have faith that God will show you the answer. But you have to understand that sometimes it takes a while to be able to recognize what God wants you to do. That's how it often is. God's voice is usually nothing more than a whisper, and you have to listen very carefully to hear it. But other times, in those rarest of moments, the answer is obvious and rings as loud as a church bell."

Do I make any sense at all? I hope I did. Whatever it is, the most important thing to do is to make sure that what you're doing now is toward a better life and a happier life. Whatever it is the road you're taking, make sure it is on your way to a much better state =)
