True Happiness

It's weekend and what else is more fun than to be happier in the weekend. Can you imagine how good life would be if you can enjoy your life and be more and more happier every single day of your life? Just let those worries out of your mind and your sight...Just be HAPPY! =) Below is just a small tips for you. I like point number 7 (Surround Yourself With Positive People). I think it's true that those people surrounding you can really put a great effect and impact on how you behave. If they're good people, you'll also be good person too.

7 Tips For More Joy In Your Life

1. Be kind to yourself.
We are harder on ourselves than we are anyone else. How many times have you looked in the mirror and said "Oh I'm so fat; Oh I have so many wrinkles" or any of the other negative comments we make about ourselves? How many times have you called yourself "Stupid" or said "I'll never be able to do that"? You wouldn't say these things to your friends or even a stranger; why should you say them to yourself? Your subconscious starts to believe them after a while. You need to replace negative thoughts of yourself with positive thoughts and soon your subconscious will believe them. Look in the mirror and say kind things and smile at yourself. See how good that makes you feel. Do it every day and see what a difference it makes.

2. Take time to laugh everyday.
Laughter really is the best medicine. It relaxes your mind and your body. A deep hearty laugh gives your face, diaphragm and stomach muscles a workout. It reduces your stress and boosts your immune system. When we laugh, blood flow to the brain is increased, endorphins are released, blood pressure is reduced and levels of stress hormones dramatically drop. Watch a funny movie or show...cut out funny cartoons and post them where you can see them. Tell your favorite jokes to other people and listen to theirs. When your pet bird sees you reading the newspaper, does he wonder why you're sitting there, staring at the carpet? Ah ha - made you laugh!

3. Visualize yourself as happy.
Visualization techniques can drastically change your outlook on life. Take time out everyday, at least 15 minutes or longer if you can, to have some quiet time to yourself. Sit back and close your eyes and relax. Breathe deeply. Meditate your problems away. I can't say enough about how meditation will improve your life. Visualize yourself as happy...doing something that you love. Picture your perfect life...the one you've always wanted. Be there - live it. You'll be surprised how good it feels. You can also listen to audios which will put you in a meditative state and help you relax even more.

4. Express Gratitude.
Be grateful for what you have. Don't take anything for granted. We would all like to have bigger or better houses, cars, clothes, furniture, etc. But in order to receive bigger and better, we need to give thanks for what we DO have ...think of the people who don't have a house or have an old broken down car. That makes you grateful for what you DO have. Give thanks for it. Get up in the morning and say "Thank you for another great day!". When you express gratitude for what you have it makes you realize that you really do have a lot to be grateful for.

5. Let Go Of Resentment and Anger.
Forgive yourself and others for perceived failures and past transgressions. Unresolved emotions such as anger and hostility are dangerous to your health. When we resolve to live at peace with the world and other people, we create an environment that promotes healing. Sit quietly, close your eyes and visualize the person that is causing the anger or resentment. Picture yourself telling them you forgive them - picture both of you smiling and walking away happy. Tell yourself you are banishing anger and banishing resentment...firmly tell them to get out, you don't want them inside you anymore. Sounds crazy - but it works!

6. Kick Out Fear and Worry.
Every thought we have - positive or negative - affects our internal biochemistry. Fear, worry and self-doubt wreck havoc on our immune systems; elevate our cholesterol levels and blood pressure, often causing rapid heartbeats. The word "worry "comes from the old English word "wyrgan" which means "to strangle". That is what we do when we worry; we strangle our ability to perform; we strangle our strength, our enthusiasm and our belief in ourselves. You must get rid of your fear and worry, it is strangling you. Again, sit quietly with your eyes closed tell yourself that worrying does not do any good - it only hurts you. Tell it to get out, you are not going to have it in you anymore, banish the worry, banish the fear. From now on when you start to worry, tell yourself to stop, and then think of something positive, something happy. Do it long enough and your subconscious will get the message, that you are not going to worry anymore. Try it, it may take a week or so to reprogram your thoughts, but it will work.

7. Surround Yourself With Positive People.
This is very important. We all come in contact with negative people - those that constantly complain about everything. Try not to encourage them; don't agree and add your complaints. Get away from them as quickly as possible and avoid them in the future. You can be in the best of moods and have it changed very quickly when you encounter negativity. In order to stay positive yourself, you need to be around positive people. Friends are very important for our well being, but choose them with care.
