Body language..

Sometimes you can are able to know a person more than you hear what they're saying. Someone's body language also plays important role when it comes to communicating to other people. Wikipedia states that Body language is a term for communication using body movements or gestures instead of, or in addition to, sounds, verbal language or other communication. This includes the most subtle of movements that many people are not aware of, including winking and slight movement of the eyebrows. It also includes still postures, e.g. facial expressions and leg positions. Body language forms part of the category of paralanguage, which describes forms of human communication that are not verbal language, especially voice tone. The term nonverbal communication has a broader meaning and includes e.g. messages sent by the style of clothing. Have a good time observing and understanding body language=)

Understanding body language can be a very good thing to add to your arsenal when it comes to social interaction and meeting women. You can know what a person thinks and feels by observing their subconscious body language. This should give you some insight when it comes to reading body language. You can use this to gain social advantages. Try observing the body language of people around you. Have fun with this.

  • Pay attention to how close someone stand to you. The closer they are, the more comfortable they are with you. The further they are, the less comfortable they are with you.
  • Pay attention to how their head is positioned.
If their head is over-tilted, this is a sign of sympathy. This person is trying to convince you of their honesty.
  • A lowered head usually indicates that the person is trying to hide something. If the person lowers their head after a compliment, this usually indicates that person to be timid or shy and is keeping distance or thinking to themselves. in some cultures however, this can be a sign of respect.
  • If the head is cocked, it means that the person is confused or is challenging you. Pay attention to their eyes, eyebrows, and mouth gestures.
  • If someone is lying to you, they will tend to look at you and away a lot.
  • If someone looks away while supposedly listening to your conversation, they are thinking about something else. In some culture however, looking into someones eyes is a sign of disrespect.
  • If the person is mirroring you, this is normally a sign of interest. This is of course if they are not making fun of you.
  • Crossed arm indicates that someone is trying to close themselves of from social influences. Some people cross their arms out of habit indicating that they are reserved or are uncomfortable about their bodies.
  • When a person put their arm behind their neck, this is a signal that they are interested in what is being discussed. They are probably waiting to state their opinion on the topic.
  • Where are their hands? If they put their hands in their pockets they are more relaxed and more likely to be attracted to you. This can also be a nervous gesture.
  • When someone brushes their hair back with their fingers, they thoughts about something are conflicting with yours. Watch to see if they raise their eyebrows.
  • When someone is wearing glass and they are constantly pushing their glasses back, this is sign of disagreement. But be aware if their glasses are just loose.
  • If someone is biting their lip, they are anticipating something or holding back.
  • When someone is fiddling with their hair this is normally an indicator of self-consciousness or they feel uncomfortable.
  • When someone squints and lowers their eyebrows, they are attempting to understand a situation. This is normally a sign that they are skeptical.
  • If they are tapping their feet, they are excited, scared, nervous, or intimidated.
  • If you observe someone shifting their weight, this is usually a sign of boredom. They may also be distracted or uncomfortable.
  • If the pupils are dilated, this indicates interest. Alcohol can also dilate the pupils, so keep that in mind.
  • If you notice someone looking to the side, this normally indicates guilt. Be aware about your topic. This can be an indicator of something they may have done wrong.
  • If someone keeps eye contact with you, this is a strong indicator of someone who is very confident.
  • If someone laughs excessively, it can be a sign of dishonesty or nervousness. They may just be a very happy person, so use your best judgment.

now I am always going to be thinking of this when talking to people. Personally I get so uncomfortable when someone is talking to me and we have complete eye contact the entire time. I always find a reason to look away. Also when I talk and get nervous about something I tend to mess with my ears. It's funny cause when I do this, I wonder if the other person notices why I do it or that I do a lot sometimes. Hehe
