Love after Love

I'm currently reading a book called The Time Traveler's Wife. I've been wanting to read this book since a while ago but the urge came to me just after I saw the trailer of the movie. There'll be a movie based on this book. Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams will play the leading role in the movie. So, when I first open the several first page, there's a poem of Derek Walcott. To be honest, this is the first time I heard about him and his work. On the book, you'll see a poem with the title of "Love after love". It is a really nice poem. Here's the poem. I leave the judgement to you. But for me, I really love it.

Love after Love

The time will come when, with elation you will greet yourself arriving at your own door, in your own mirror and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat. You will love again the stranger who was your self.Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored for another, who knows you by heart. Take down the love letters from the bookshelf, the photographs, the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror. Sit. Feast on your life.

-Derek Walcott-

This was such a great book! I read the entire thing on vacation this summer in 2 days. I just couldn't get enough. Let us know what you think!

I've read half of the story...I loooove it. I love to make myself imagine how Henry leaps through times here and there and always manage to go back and see Clare. Can't wait to watch the movie=)
